Custom Fit Boat Covers Warranty

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Custom Fit Boat Covers are customer made to order and CANNOT be returned, please order carefully or contact us for assistance before placing an order for a Custom Fit Boat Cover.

Custom Fit Boat Covers are customer made to order and from the date of order it takes up to 4 weeks for your Custom Fit Boat Cover to be dispatched from our distribution centre on the Sunshine Coast, please consider when ordering as the order cannot be cancelled once it has been put in for manufacturing, cancellation after order date is not possible if the cover has been manufactured.

All orders are disptached by Courier or Australia Post and any suggestion of lead time is an estimate, Coverworld cannot be held responsible for orders that do not reach you by any specific dates.

Once goods leave our warehouse we are not responsible for the delivery service and this is carried by a third party company. If your goods go missing then we shall require a courier investigation before a replacement cover can be dispatched / ordered / made for you.

Custom Fit Boat Covers are covered by a pro-rata warranty. This means that depending on the amount of time you have had the cover for if you make a warranty claim you may have to pay a pro-rata fee if you covers has a defect after 12 months and needs to be replaced. This is because you have had substantial use from your cover receiving a certain value already from your purchase.

Custom Fit Boat Covers are only designed for Boats as they come out of the Factory as standard, they are not designed to accomodate or cover any after market accessrories unless otherwise specifically detailed in the product description.  Do not purchase the Custom Fit Boat Cover if your boat has had any aftermarket modifications.

3 Year Polyguard Covers Warranty Pro-Rate Schedule

* Year 0-1 Free

* Year 1-2 50%

* Year 3 75%

* Percentage of retail replacment cost, e.g. Replacement of a defective $100 product during year 3 would cost 75% of the original product purchase price + freight.

Freight charges are always payable for replacment covers no matter how long into the warranty period you have had your cover for.

5 Year Sunbrella Covers Warranty Pro-Rate Schedule

* Year 0-3 Free

* Year 4 25%

* Year 5 50%

* Percentage of retail replacment cost, e.g. Replacement of a defective $100 product during year 5 would cost 75% of the original product purchase price + freight .

Freight charges are always payable for replacment covers no matter how long into the warranty period you have had your cover for.

Warranty Conditions

  1. The warranty period is not renewed or extended as a result of a warranty repair or replacement
  2. The sales receipt for the product must be provided as a proof of purchase when a warranty claim is made
  3. The warranty is not transferable and is only offered to the original end user of the product
  4. The warranty only applies to products purchased through Coverworld by phone or Internet
  5. To the extent that any conditions or warranty implied by law is excludable, such a condition or warranty is excluded.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranty offered by Coverworld is void if the defect or fault is caused by:

  1. Failure to follow proper installation, operation or maintenance of the product
  2. Inappropriate or improper use of product for purposes other than that for which it was designed
  3. Neglect, lack of care, poor handling or accidental damage
  4. Repairs, alterations or modifications performed by a third party without our explicit consent
  5. Tampering or alterations to the product markings or labelling
  6. Contamination of product by foreign material
  7. Normal Wear and Tear is not covered by Warranty over time the cover will change its overall look, you may have some colour fade or some stretch to the cover.  This is a normal part of Wear and Tear and is to be expected from a cover used outside in Marine applications.

Warranty does not include:

  1. Labour costs
  2. Transit costs (if the product has to be sent back to us)
  3. Normal maintenance costs
  4. To the extent permitted by law, any damage to property, personal injury, direct or indirect loss, consequential losses or other expenses
  5. Changes in the condition or operational qualities of the product, resulting from incorrect storage, fitment, application, maintenance, environmental factors, or other influences

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product is faulty or defective due to improper manufacturing or construction, please follow these steps to make a warranty claim:

  • Contact Coverworld regarding the details of the faulty product. We will try to confirm whether or not the product is indeed faulty by checking photos, however you may be required to return the product to us at your cost for more detailed scrutinization.
  • Once the product has been confirmed to be faulty, we will repair or replace it under the terms of the relevant warranty. Fees may apply for pro rata warranties or transport costs to send a replaced or repaired product.
  • In the event a product is deemed by our testing not to be faulty or, you have the choice to have the product returned at your cost.
